LAPAL CANAL TRUST & WRG AT SELLY OAK

Some photos taken whilst work was in progress at Selly Oak (1st August). Members of LCT and WRG were working together to strengthen the canal wall. As many may already be aware, the Waterway Recovery Group held a work camp alongside Selly Oak Park between July 30th and August 7th.
The work essentially involved the rebuilding of the towpath wall between the old Harborne Wharf and the canal bridge which has a public right of way across it. The group are all volunteers who pay to spend some of their spare time working around various canal restoration projects throughout the country. Lapal Canal Trust are very pleased that after several delays this part of the restoration project has gone ahead. More photos and report to be found on the Lapal Canal Trust website.
