VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR ST RICHARD’S CANAL FESTIVAL 2019

Can you help us at St Richard’s Canal Festival 2019?

The Worcester-Birmingham and Droitwich Canals Society need your help. Our society organise and stage this event in Vines Park in Droitwich each year. We work in partnership with Wychavon Authority, Droitwich Town Council and local groups to stage this festival. However, without the support of volunteers it could not happen.

April 30th, May 1st, 2nd, assemble the festival,

May 3rd, 4th, 5th 6th, the event is open,

May 7th is takedown and pack away.

If you can give us a period of 3 hours on any day this would help immensely.

We can use smaller slots, but 3 hours or more really helps.

DUTIES ARE VARIED:

Putting up tents, tables and chairs, security fencing, displays, managing traffic flow,

organise the world-famous duck race, selling tickets and not least, looking after the public.

We also need volunteers to help assemble the bar and work as bar staff.

THE BENEFITS TO YOU:

The festival is very popular so Droitwich town and its’ canal all benefit – so,

people will love you for helping.

You will get free tea and biscuits.

You will get meal vouchers each day you help us.

The volunteer coordinator with thank you even more and be very grateful.
