‘CECILIA’ HOMECOMING!
The Society’s community narrowboat ‘Cecilia’ has recently been refurbished and repainted.
Refurbishment, including a new floor and seating, took place in 2021/early 2022 and painting in November/December 2022. In all nearly £25,000 has been spent on the 69ft boat over the past few years.
‘Cecilia’ has recently returned to her mooring, in Alvechurch after her journey back from the paint shop at Evesham.
‘Cecilia’ is a community narrowboat that is available for any community project to book for half and full day boat trips along the Worcester & Birmingham Canal. The boat is usually moored very close to Alvechurch Station by Bridge 60. She is fully crewed by a small team of volunteers for anyone to use.
